So it has been a few weeks now since I introduced you to Skinny Sprinkles*, it's about time I let you guys know my first impressions.
This week especially I have been trying my hardest to eat super healthily and drink two or three Skinny Sprinkles drinks a day. I've got to admit, when I first tried them I thought it tasted pretty disgusting until I spotted someone online saying it was nicer with milk. I have also taken to mixing mine with half a glass of skimmed milk.

Obviously Skinny Sprinkles aren't going to work miracles, they're a weight loss tool to work alongside what else you are doing so I thought it might be helpful to show you a typical day's food for me. I've been trying to be quite strict whilst using Skinny Sprinkles so when I stop using them I'll hopefully already be used to the healthy meals and smaller portions.
9/10 am Breakfast - SS and a plate of fruit, usually an orange or a couple of apples

12.30 - SS
1/2 pm Lunch - Chicken, fish or Quorn with veg and one carb (usually sweet potato or brown rice)
6pm - SS
8pm Dinner - Chicken, fish or Quorn with veg
10pm Snack - Fruit, usually mango or melon or low fat yoghurt, sugar free jelly
The times are just a rough guide, as I work from home most days it kind of depends how my work is doing as to when I break for food. Some days I will just use Skinny Sprinkles to replace snacks and sometimes I will drink them 15/30 minutes before meals then have smaller portions. I like that I can be flexible with when I have them.

Grilled pesto chicken breast and avocado salad // Curried fish and boiled veg
Egg fried rice with prawns and veg // Roasted Quorn and veg
Rice crackers with extra light cheese spread and carrot // Apple and green tea
I'm not doing a particular diet or calorie counting, but I've dieted enough in my life for it to all be common sense now. I know what foods I should and should not eat and what is a reasonable sized portion to allow me to gradually lose weight.
My healthy eating tips
- I've been limiting myself to one carb a day and trying to stick to good carbs such as wholegrain rice/pasta or sweet potato, I'm also trying to have them at lunchtime so they're not sat in my stomach overnight.
- I've also cut out diet Pepsi during the week (so hard) and am only drinking water, sugar free squash or green tea, and lots of it.

- When I snack I have mainly been eating fruit or veg but if I'm super hungry I might have a couple of rice crackers. I find veg is the best thing to fill up on and will generally choose carrot or cucumber sticks for snacks.
These are just a few things that work for me but don't take these for gospel, everyone is different so you need to work out what is best for you and your body. One of the most important things when trying to lose weight is to do it healthily. You need to keep up a balanced diet and not completely cut out any food groups in favour of losing weigh quickly. It's not healthy and it won't last. Excercise is obviously also very important and is one thing I never have time for which I hope to change over the next couple of months.
I'll be posting my final part of the Skinny Sprinkles review this time next week to let you know if I've been successful in dropping a few pounds and my overall thoughts on Skinny Sprinkles as a whole.
*These items were gifted to me for reviewing but the words and opinions are entirely my own.

Those meals look great, I've been using skinny sprinkles too I lost 5lbs in the first week I was so full.
ReplyDeleteI take mine quite early on in the day with my last one at about 3pm because I'm quite sensitive to caffeine so if I take it any later I sometimes find it hard to fall asleep.
They are really good though, hope you get on well
