Recent products

I don't feel like I'm very good at reviewing products, which is why I do it so rarely, but I 'd still like to share with you guys which ones I'm loving and loathing. I like to read blogger product reviews, I always find them a lot more helpful and trustworthy than adverts the brands put out themselves, so hopefully this post will be helpful to someone out there.

1 - Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion: I recieved a sample of this and instantly fell in love with it. This is my all time favourite moisturiser which I now use every single day. I mainly use it as a body moisturiser, especially on my arms and shoulders but also on my face in the morning after a shower. I found it on offer in Boots for just £5 so that made it great value for money, it also smells pretty good despite being fragrance free. I can't recommend it enough.

2 - OceAnge Anti-age Caviar Complex: I'm 26 now and I've started using a few anti-ageing products just as a preventative measure. Can't hurt eh? This is a product I recieved in a Betrousse box and I really like it. It's a night cream so I massage it into my face and neck before bed and I find it nice and refreshing, it doesn't feel like it's clogging up my pores or sitting on top of my skin. I'm very impressed with this product so far.

3 - Phytocare Pure Papaya Ointment: Another Betrousse product, I've only used this a couple of times but I am pretty fond of it so far. This is a multi-purpose cream that can be used for most things but I have only really tried it on my eyes and lips. I found it a bit to slimey and gross on my eyes but I really liked it as a lip cream. It is nicely moisturising but I'm not really a fan of the taste, it's kind of buttery.

4 - DHC Deep Cleansing Oil: I have mixed feelings about this oil, I find it really hard to apply and get it to do what it should. I have to use way more than the amount stated on the instructions and I don't really like the way it feels on my skin. The one thing I DO like to use it for is removing my eyeliner and mascara. I put a few drops on a cotton pad and hold it on my eyelid for a few seconds to break down the makeup and then it wipes of clean with ease.

5 - Trilogy Rosehip Oil: Another product I'm not sure about, to be honest I keep forgetting I own this, not extremely remarkable. Again I need more than the recommended amount and I find it a bit annoying to apply but with this one it is a product to be massaged into the skin alongside a moisturiser so it leaves my skin feeling pretty smooth. The smell however is quite hard to get over. Ick.

1 - Perfectly Pampered Spa Hair Mask: This isn't actually the mask I used as I forgot to take a picture of the first one. It was the same brand but a repair mask and I couldn't believe the results. It left my (extremely damaged) hair feeling sooo sleek and smooth for days after, I was so impressed. I bought these masks from Fragrance Direct for about 89p, what a bargain!

2 - Mudd Sea Mask: After trying this mask it is the only one I want to use for the rest of my life. I can't actually explain how bizarre this made my skin feel while it was on, it was like there was a ton of pressure on my face, it was weird but kind of nice. When I washed it off my face felt so fresh and smooth, I love this mask!!!

Thanks to a few beauty box giveaways wins I've had the opportunity to try some brands I never would have otherwise and I'm really enjoying doing so. I can get quite lazy and stuck in my ways with my own skin/hair care, but I definately want to continue to test as many new products as I can now, why settle for what works when you could find something better?

Have any of you tried these same products and come to the same conclusions as me? Either way I'd be very interested to hear how you found them.
